The Neuspeed one piece billet steel short shifter easily installs on to transmission's selector shaft. The Neuspeed short shift kit reduces the throw length between gears by approximately 40% - this is the absolute maximum reduction possible without overextending the cable mechanism. The NEUSPEED short shift kit incorporates a calibrated counterweight which is required for more positive shift action. This is a completely bolt-on application - no cable adjustment required. Notes: Fits: 2002-05 Beetle Turbo S Golf 337 20th Anniversary 2004 R32 Golf IV/Jetta IV 24V VR6 with 6-Speed manual transmission. Mk5/6 shift mechanisms are different than Mk4, please make sure you are selecting the correct short shift for your vehicle.
