My Parts Guy was founded in 2021 by CEO John Gilbert, a veteran of the OEM and performance parts industry. John started his automotive career in 1990 and brings over 34 years of experience in performance parts and accessories to the business.

Before launching My Parts Guy, John owned and operated a speed shop and general repair garage in Ottawa with a staff of 9. When COVID-19 shut down much of the industry across Canada and the U.S., John used the downtime to launch MPG Auto Parts Inc., the parent company behind My Parts Guy Canada.

Today, he and his team are focused on becoming the best auto parts supplier in Canada — through a large selection, competitive pricing, and knowledgeable staff who can actually answer your questions, not just take your order.

We take our jobs seriously. We don't cut corners or beat around the bush — we get you the parts you need, at a competitive price, as fast as possible. We're proud to remain Canadian family owned and operated, serving performance and repair customers across Canada and beyond.
