It acts as an essential safeguard for your pneumatic setup and is specifically designed to work with the Model 2165 pressure switch (165 PSI ON - 200 PSI OFF), automatically popping off to release a sudden burst of excess air if the pressure switch fails or if the tank surpasses safe operating limits to protect your compressor from burning out.
