Adhesive backed transmission pan heat shield installs between the transmission pan and cross over pipe on JL Wranglers & JT Gladiators with 850RE 8 speed transmissions. It blocks radiant heat from the exhaust, preventing heat soak into the transmission pan and fluid. The result—cooler transmission temps, improved performance, and longer component life.
