Wavetrac Differentials — Canada
Priced in CAD • No duties • No brokerage fees • Fast shipping across Canada
Wavetrac is an American manufacturer producing helical gear limited-slip differentials for sport compact, JDM, European, and performance vehicles. The Wavetrac LSD uses a patented wave ring design that prevents the zero-torque lockup problem common in traditional helical LSDs — when one wheel loses traction completely, the Wavetrac continues to drive the wheel with grip rather than spinning both wheels freely. This makes Wavetrac one of the most effective bolt-in LSD upgrades available for street and track use. At MyPartsGuy.ca we carry the Wavetrac lineup, all priced in Canadian dollars with no import fees or brokerage charges.

Frequently Asked Questions
Wavetrac vs Quaife LSD — what's the difference?
Both Wavetrac and Quaife use helical gear LSD designs and are direct competitors. The key difference is Wavetrac's patented wave ring, which addresses the zero-torque condition that causes standard helical LSDs (including Quaife) to spin freely when one wheel completely loses grip. In real-world track and performance driving conditions where a wheel fully unloads — lifting off the inside wheel in a corner, for example — the Wavetrac maintains drive torque to the remaining wheel. For most street applications the difference is subtle, but for track use and aggressive driving the Wavetrac's behavior under complete wheel unloading is a meaningful advantage.
Is the Wavetrac a direct drop-in installation?
Wavetrac units are designed to install into the factory differential carrier using the OEM ring gear and bearings in most applications. Installation requires pulling the transmission or differential, pressing off and on bearings, and setting backlash — it's a transmission shop or experienced DIY job, not a driveway install. Some applications require specific shim kits or carrier bearings. Confirm installation requirements for your specific platform before ordering.
