What do engine mount inserts do?
Factory engine mounts use soft rubber to absorb vibration — but this softness also allows the engine to move under torque load, causing imprecise shifter feel, hesitation in throttle response, and chassis flex that wastes power. Mount inserts fill the voids in the factory mount with firmer polyurethane, reducing engine movement without the harshness of fully solid mounts. Are solid mounts streetable?
Torque Solution's street density inserts (usually 70A or 80A durometer) are streetable — firmer than OEM but not as harsh as competition solid mounts. Their race-spec solid inserts transmit significantly more vibration and are not recommended for daily driving.
