When do I need upgraded valve springs?
Factory valve springs are designed for OEM cam profiles and RPM limits. Upgraded cams (higher lift, longer duration) and extended RPM operation (above 8,000 rpm) can cause valve float with OEM springs. Supertech's single and dual spring sets provide higher seat pressure and open pressure to maintain valve control at high rpm.
Stainless vs titanium valves — which should I use?
Stainless valves are the standard upgrade — significantly lighter than OEM and more durable at high temperatures.
