Frequently Asked Questions

Wet vs dry nitrous — what is the difference?
A wet nitrous system injects both nitrous and additional fuel through the same nozzle or plate. A dry system injects only nitrous and relies on the factory fuel injectors (triggered by the kit's electronics) to supply additional fuel. Wet systems are more reliable on older EFI and carbureted applications. Dry systems are cleaner and preferred on modern EFI engines where the factory injectors have headroom. For most Canadian street builds, a wet kit is the more straightforward approach.

Is nitrous safe on a stock engine?
Small shots (50–75 hp) on a stock engine with proper installation and a healthy tune are generally safe. The risks increase with shot size — larger shots stress pistons, rods, and the bottom end. Nitrous is not a substitute for engine preparation on higher power levels. Most experienced builders treat nitrous as a supplement to an already-built engine rather than a shortcut on a stock one.
