Frequently Asked Questions

Is AFCO only for race cars or do they have street products?
AFCO produces both dedicated race products and street performance components. Their race shock lineup is purpose-built for circle track, road racing, and drag applications. They also produce bolt-on performance street shocks and springs for classic muscle cars and hot rods that want a handling improvement over factory components without a full race suspension build.

What does double-adjustable mean on an AFCO shock?
A double-adjustable shock has independent adjustments for both rebound (how fast the shock extends after compression) and compression (how fast it compresses under load). This allows much finer chassis tuning than a single-adjustable shock — you can tune the car's entry, mid-corner, and exit behavior independently by adjusting each damping circuit. Double-adjustable shocks are standard equipment in professional racing and are the preferred choice for any serious track build where chassis setup is a priority.
