Silverline supplies engine bearings for European engine rebuilds, with main bearing sets and rod bearing sets making up the core of the range. Sets are offered in standard and undersize grades so a crankshaft can be reused after it has been ground, and part numbering follows the original factory references used on Volkswagen and Audi engines. Bearing shells are produced with a steel backing and an overlay tuned for conformability and embedability, which is what protects a crank journal when debris gets through the oil.
